This just in, a woman who previously worked as a volunteer teacher and who now lives in Portoviejo was nearly kidnapped last week when she left her apartment at 3:00 PM. She lives about a block and half from where she works. A motorcycle pulled up alongside her and a car stopped, blocking her path. The motorcyclist tri
ed to force her into the car, but somehow she escaped their grasp and ran away. She is married to an Ecuadorian who believes that kidnappings are on the rise for ransom purposes.
