Isla de la Plata - как и что?

Здраствуйте. Мониторил интернет и повстречался мне такой вот пейзаж. Однозначно скажу - заворожил он меня. Все больше влюбляюсь в Эквадор. Впрочем, хотелось бы попасть именно в тот пейзаж и отдохнуть там с месяц. Как туда попасть, откуда туда попадать легче, на чем, сколько это будет стоить, есть ли там отель? Очень хочется там побывать. Хотелось бы рассчитывать на умиротворенный созерцательный философический отдых.

И хотелось бы узнать о погодных условиях - часто ли там бывает пасмурно?

Isla de la Plata - это национальный парк. Остров в океане, примерно, в пулутора часах езды на катере от Пуэрто Лопес. Отеля там нет. Экскурсия стОит (в сезон, когда приплывают киты) $35 с человека. На экскурсию возят на катерах, дают пару бутербродов + кола и фрукты. Длится с 9-ти утра до 17 вечера (вместе с дорогой).

Мне очень понравилось. Хорошие гиды, все хорошо организованно. Смотрели олушей, фрегатов. Потом нас возили немного понырять с масками, посмотреть рыбок-клоунов и еще каких-то.

Погода была отличная (начало августа), несмотря на то, что по всей Руте дель Соль стоял жуткий холод и небо было постоянно затянуто тучами. Все ли время там такая погода - не знаю.

По-моему, там еще красивее, чем на фото

ISLA DE LA PLATA
Isla de la Plata (Silver Island) is a reasonably accurate facsimile of an island in the Galápagos. Only an hour or so by boat from Puerto López, this is not to be missed if you’re traveling in the area. After passing through various private hands, including a businessman from Guayaquil who built a hotel (now the park office and the only facilities on the island) and an airstrip, the island was later incorporated into the national park. A good thing too, for the survival of the birdlife – fishermen used to club clumsy albatross until they dropped their day’s catch.
The origin of the island’s name is variously explained as an allusion to claims that Sir Francis Drake buried treasure here, or to the color of the guano-covered cliffs in the moonlight. Home to nesting colonies of seabirds, the island is a revelation for anyone who hasn’t been to the Galápagos. A large number of blue-footed boobies reside here; frigate birds, red-footed boobies and pelicans are frequently
recorded, as are a variety of gulls, terns and petrels. Albatross can be seen from April to October, dolphins pass by, and there’s year-round snorkeling in the coral reefs around the island.
Only the muscular ballet of mating humpback whales, which abound in these waters between
mid-June and early October (especially July and August), can compete with the island’s natural wonders. Whale-watching is a booming business here, and despite the strict guidelines and legally enforced rules and etiquette, scientists are concerned with tourism’s impact on the mating habits of these gentle beasts.
It’s a steep climb from the boat landing to two loop hikes, one to the east and one to the west: the 3.5km Sendero Punta Machete and the 5km Sendero Punta Escaleras. Either way, the trail is rough and exposed, so good footwear and plenty of water are essential.
The only way to enjoy this ‘poor person’s Galápagos’ is by taking a guided boat tour from Puerto López (see p307).
